Satisfies Coast Guard
Haven't had to inflate it so can't say how it'll function but this pfd satisfies the Coast Guard regulation with minimal hassle so it fits the bill. Velcro stays together when pack is wet, it's lightweight and doesn't impede motion. We use short leashes for safety (so the SUP board is the functional pfd) and use this so we don't get a ticket.

Comfortable PFD
I bought this to wear on my standup paddle board, as it is USCG approved Type 3 flotation device which is required. I've yet to be required to use it as a flotation device, however while wearing it is comfortable and unobtrusive. However, I would recommend taking it apart and understanding how it inflates in the event you ever do need to use it.

You get what you pay for
THis review is for the 80" model of the Sevylor Maui paddle for the Samoa inflatable stand up paddle board. There are some differences b/w the 72" long paddle and the 80" model, other than the length: the 72" has a shaft made of very thin walled tube and perhaps to strengthen it there is a short tube glued on top of the shaft at the ferule area (where the two parts of the paddle join). This seems to be an afterthought and wven with that, it appears flimsy. That outer tube falls where the hand should be but if you move the hand a bit up or down, then you are holding the edge of the tube and it does not feel good in the hand. The 80" paddle does not have that "reinforcement" at the joint and is nicer to hold - no slippery edgy tube right where the hand should be. Its tubbing appears to be ever so slightly thicker and feels a bit more substantial than the 72" model as far as the shaft is concerned. Still not as stong as I think it should be and I fear it may break, but in my "moderate...

Sevylor U139 Maui Paddle 80"
This is an OK paddle to keep as a spare, or for flat water or light surf duty. I purchased it so I'd have a break down paddle that traveled easily and also as a spare to loan to friends. For $39 it's hard to go wrong. The shaft is light and fairly well made, but the blade is big, heavy and flexy. I may cut the blade down to a size better suited for surf, and to reduce some of the weight. Bottom line, not worth full retail, but for what I paid I'm happy with the purchase.
